ASSURIA GOLD MEDICINES LIST
Recently included in our AZPAS product portfolio is the option to choose for a more extensive medicine coverage! With our “GOLD” package as additional cover, you can choose from a wider range of medicines.
The GOLD pharmaceutical package is offered at a rate of SRD 150 monthly in combination with an AZPAS Basic or Plus Health Insurance.

HIGHER LEVEL OF HOSPITAL COVER
Against payment of an extra premium, you can choose for a Class I or Class II hospital cover. You will receive better facilities compared to a Class 3 hospital cover from the basic package. The medical care you will receive, however, will always the same. The level of care therefore does not depend on the class you choose. For children up to the age of 12 years, the Children’s Class applies, which equals the Class III hospital cover.
DENTAL CARE
Against payment of an extra premium you can include your dental care costs in your health insurance. We cover dental care costs incurred in Suriname. These include consults, oral hygiene, X-ray photos, anaesthesia, root canal treatment, but also prosthetics and dental surgery. You can choose from 4 covers per policy year.
- Basic: maximum reimbursement of SRD 1380 annually
- Classic: maximum reimbursement of SRD 1730 annually
- Supreme: maximum reimbursement of SRD 2420 annually
- Supreme+: maximum reimbursement of SRD 4840 annually

OPTICAL CARE
Against payment of an attractive premium you can include optical care in your health insurance. You can choose from Extra Optical Care and Extra + Optical Care to be added to your AZPAS Basic Insurance and for AZPAS Plus you can choose from Supreme and Supreme+ to be added to your health insurance. With these additions you will receive a higher reimbursement for a frame, glasses and contacts.
ALTERNATIVE THERAPY
Alternative therapy includes different treatments than the usual (regular) treatments. They are often an addition to the usual treatments but can also be provided as the only treatment. For example, treatments of homeopaths or acupuncturists.
You can choose for the Basic Alternative Therapy or Classic Alternative Therapy.
Against a minimal extra premium payment, the following alternative therapies are covered, provided that the doctor and/or therapist has had recognized training and is registered with the Ministry of Health:
- Acupuncture
- Homeopathy
- Podiatry
- Chiropractic
SPECIALIST CARE SUPREME
In combination with the Azpas Plus insurance, it is possible to guarantee additional coverage for:
- Specialist care
- Artificial means and aids
- Maternity care
- Paramedical care
